Nest’s course provides a nurturing space to support women emotionally and spiritually through the transformational journey of pregnancy.

I found pregnancy with my two boys to be such an incredible experience for transformation and growth but also an emotional rollercoaster!!
As a creative arts therapist one of my go to tools during pregnancy was drawing, collage, dance, visualisation and collage. They proved to be amazing tools to dive deep into my inner world and understand mine and my baby’s needs. Throughout both pregnancies I used art, journalling, dance, meditation and emotional release to navigate my pregnancy and process things that were coming up for me,

+Creating a womb mandala as a powerful tool to connect with your baby, womb and femininity
Week 2: THE TRANSFORMATIONAL JOURNEY OF MOTHERHOOD
+Exploring the transformation occurring as you blossom into motherhood
Week 3: THE INNER CHILD
+Exploring our own childhood so we can be more present & conscious to our children
Week 4: LOOKING AT BIRTH
+ Exploring your relationship with birth so you can envision and open to the birth you desire
Week 5: PREPARING FOR POSTPARTUM
+ Create a Postpartum vision board and a survival kit for the postpartum period

FAQs
Do I need to be an artist?
Not at all, no creative skills needed. Creative Expression Therapy is all about the process not creating a masterpiece.
Can my partner do the course?
The course is currently designed for Mama, however it is of huge benefit to share these processes and experience with your partner. Sharing your creation with them may be a great way to get conversations started abut things such as birth and preparing for postpartum.
Do I need art supplies?
You will need: A3 white paper, a pack of oil pastels, scissors, glue stick and some old magazines. (You will get more details about this when you sign up)
When should I do the course?
This course is relevant and appropriate at all stages of pregnancy and sessions can be spaced apart to cater for individual needs.
Is there a payment plan?
If desired you can pay the course in two instalments.
How long will the course take?
I advice on doing sessions every 2 weeks for 1.15 hrs so you can integrate the themes and processes in between sessions. That will span over 10 weeks, however I am flexible with what suits you.
