What is Body Pscyhotherapy?

An integrated Somatic approach to emotional wellbeing and and personal transformation. Also known as Core Energetics, created by John Pierrakos and informed by the Pathwork lectures of Eva Pierrakos. 

It is a body-centered modality that works with emotion, physical movement, vibration, breath and energy to support healing and personal growth.

Sessions provide a safe, grounded and trauma informed setting to acesss you inner world and unhook from blocks or patterns which may be holding you back in life.

The goal of therapy is to gain greater self-awareness and empowerment, feel more grounded and experience increased flow and aliveness in your body.

This approach can be deeply transformative, using body-centered processes to regulate the nervous system, increase vitality and enhance relationships and daily life.

WHY I BELIEVE IN THIS WORK

For years, I felt like I was going in circles with traditional talk therapy, nothing really shifted. When I eventually discovered somatic and body-based healing, everything changed. I finally reached the root of what was going on and began healing on a deep cellular level.

So many of us carry old stories, tension and blocks in our body without realising. Body Psychotherapy helped me release what I’d been holding for most of my life and reconnect with a deeper sense of myself and my aliveness. My outer reality transformed with healthier relationships and the ability to be present with my children in a whole new way,

I’ve learned that our bodies hold so much wisdom and when we’re supported to slow down and listen, real transformation becomes possible.

  • Yes. Body Psychotherapy can support anxiety, chronic tension, emotional reactivity, trauma patterns, low self-esteem, relationship challenges and more. This modality helps regulate the nervous system and release stored emotional energy safely.

  • This depends on your goals. Some people come for short-term support over a few sessions, while others choose ongoing work for deeper transformation. We can discuss what feels right for you.

  • Yes, online sessions are available and can be equally powerful using guided somatic awareness.
